Manual
manifolds are designed to
deliver process or laboratory gases at a constant pressure
throughout a gas supply system There are two types of manual
manifold systems. The first type of system has a single master
valve with an attached pressure control regulator. This particular
type of manifold is specifically designed to increase the capacity
of an existing single cylinder
gas supply system by allowing the use of multiple cylinders, often
referred to as a cylinder bank.
The Second type of manual manifold utilizes two master valves with
an attached pressure control device. While this type of system
also increases the capacity of an existing single cylinder gas
supply system it also allows the user to manually switch from a
depleted cylinder bank to a full cylinder bank. The ability to
switch between banks with the simple turn of two master control
valves allows for virtually uninterrupted gas supply. When the
master valve for the depleted cylinders is closed they are
isolated from the system and can be changed while the other bank
is in service.
